Megan Ada, Owner
When Megan was young, she remembers going to a restaurant and watching these other little kids working in the restaurant, owned by their parents. And she was so envious of them! She had lemonade stands from the beginning and got her first job at McDonalds at 16. She knew that the restaurant business was her calling.
At just the age of 25, Megan purchased the Sunny Street Cafe location in Westerville and learned how to run a business. She was confident in the restaurant side but learning how to run a business was a whole new venture.
Five years later, she opened Asterisk Supper Club located in Uptown Westerville. This was her own concept. And with the help of her parents, Megan has been able to pursue every one of her goals. Failure is not an option. You make a mistake, learn from it and don’t do it again.
A third concept, Ampersand Asian Supper Club, Now open and located in the Short North at 940 N High St. Columbus, Ohio 43201.
Megan appreciates every person that walks into the doors of her restaurants. Without the staff and the guests we serve, these concepts would not be possible. It’s a great day to serve others.
Brandi Madden Minico, Director of Operations
After many years of working in the restaurant and hospitality industry, and holding many different positions along the way, Brandi found herself returning to her roots in Westerville, where she is a graduate of Westerville North High School. Brandi joined the first of Megan Ada’s Restaurants in 2008 as the General Manager of Sunny Street Cafe. Today, Brandi can be found splitting her time between the three restaurants which are located in the 614 location. Two of her many talents are an impeccable memory for names and service orientated personality. Brandi credits her strong worth ethic to her mother who continues to inspire her daily.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and of course her beloved rescue dogs. Brandi has a love for all things 80s.
Jessica Earick, General Manager
Kelli Allen, Assistant General Manager
Kelli started with the company shortly after opening. She was hired as a server and worked her way up and now knows the ins and outs of Asterisk. She says, “I love this concept! It is so unique and different. It is alway a good feeling seeing people can still sit down, without cell phones and televisions and enjoy a few good hours food and conversation with friends and family.”
When Kelli is not working she spends her time with her son and enjoys experiencing new adventures.

Laurie Ada (Designer)
My mother, Laurie…has one of my favorite gifts. The gift of ‘style’. She has brought the ‘unique and eclectic’ that makes Asterisk so visually beautiful and different. And trust us… it’ll slap you the minute you walk in. But we think you’ll like this ‘slap’.
